The Houston Rose Show is proud to hold its 2022 Virtual Spring Rose Show in March and April, 2022. Results will be posted by May 15, 2022. This Show will be a virtual rose show, consisting of pictures that are to be submitted of your roses. Many long-time exhibitors reported plants stripped of leaves, broken canes and uprooted bushes because of the storm. A survey revealed that we would not have enough roses for a decent show. We apologize for any inconvenience caused by this decision.
So, if you have ever thought about entering an arrangement, here is your chance to win a $100 prize. All arrangement materials must be furnished by the exhibitor, but, because of the early spring date, we will not have the requirement that the roses come from your garden. Any rose, from a florist or flower vendor, or even a grocery store, can be used. For this contest, the standard is about the beauty of the arrangement, not about growing the roses used in the arrangement.
The roses may be entered from 9 am to 11 am on Saturday, April 5th. You must pick up your arrangement between 3 pm and 5 pm on Sunday, April 6th. If you do not pick up your arrangement, it will be disposed of at the end of the show.

Our annual Fall Rose Show & Bloom Sale will be held on Saturday, October 30, 2004.
The Houston Rose Society is delighted to announce that this year's show will once again be held at Deerbrook Mall, located at the intersection of FM 1960 East and US Hwy. 59 North in Kingwood. Deerbrook Mall, besides having excellent shopping and food establishments, provides exhibitor-friendly accommodations to our exhibitors and show volunteers.
The rose show will be held at the Foley's end of the mall. Exhibitors will enter the mall between Foleys and AMC Theater. The exhibitor preparation area will open at 5:30 a.m.; entries will be accepted between 7:30 and 9:30 a.m.; judging will begin at 10:00 and the show will be open to the public from noon until 4:00 p.m. The Show Schedule will be posted on the HRS website and will be available in print form at the monthly meetings.
Regardless of whether you just started growing roses or having been raising them for years, bring some blooms, enter the show and enjoy the hospitality provided by the fine folks at Deerbook Mall.

Points are kept and winners are announced at the end of the meeting. At the December Christmas Party the winners of each year's Grand Prix are announced. The main benefit of the Grand Prix is that it is a way to learn the art of exhibiting in a very relaxed atmosphere. Plus, all the members at the meetings get to see excellent examples of roses they grow, or want to grow. Come and give it a try.
